Masters and Mistresses at Arms do not swear fealty to the Crown and are titled "Master" or "Mistress" or other ethnic or linguistic variation. In addition, they are entitled to wear a white baldric (worn crosswise from shoulder to hip). They do not wear a chain (which is a symbol of fealty to the Crown) or spurs. Some choose to take on associates who are known as [[squires]] or [[theigns]]. To date, no one inducted into Atlantia's Chivalry has ever done so as a Master or Mistress at Arms.
