The Scrivener Royal shall serve a term of six months and the competition to choose a new Scrivener Royal shall be held at Coronation. April 20, 1975 saw the first "Gathering of Windmasters" which led to the formation of a Shire that May. <br />
<br />
The first Ymir, which would become the barony's premier event, was held the following year in February 1976. Ymir has been held every year since and is used for baronial investiture, selection of champions, and acts as a reflection of Windmasters' culture. Later that year the cantons of Elvegast and Buckston-On-Eno were formed. At the second Ymir, in 1977, Windmasters' Hill was recognized as a barony and its first baron was invested. <br />

In May of 1978, two additional cantons were formed. Atillium, which remains to this day an active canton of Windmasters' Hill, and The Guardians of The Sacred Stone.<br />
<br />
Windmasters' Hill held the first Atlantian Crown Tournament in November of 1980, it was hosted by the canton of Buckston-On-Eno. This same year, Kappellenberg petitioned to be recognized as an official canton.<br />

In 1981 The Guardians Of the Sacred Stone petitioned to start their own shire, separating from Windmasters' Hill and eventually forming the [[Barony of Sacred Stone]]. <br />

In April of 2002, the barony's youngest canton, Nimenefeld was recognized. <br />

April 20, 1975 saw the first "Gathering of Windmasters" which led to the formation of a Shire that May. <br />
<br />
The first Ymir, which would become the barony's premier event, was held the following year in February 1976. Ymir has been held every year since and is used for baronial investiture, selection of champions, and acts as a reflection of Windmasters' culture. Later that year the cantons of Elvegast and Buckston-On-Eno were formed. At the second Ymir, in 1977, Windmasters' Hill was recognized as a barony and its first baron was invested. <br />

In May of 1978, two additional cantons were formed. Atillium, which remains to this day an active canton of Windmasters' Hill, and The Guardians of The Sacred Stone.<br />

Windmasters' Hill held the first Atlantian Crown Tournament in November of 1980, it was hosted by the canton of Buckston-On-Eno. This same year, Kappellenberg petitioned to be recognized as an official canton.<br />

April 20, 1975 saw the first "Gathering of Windmasters" which led to the formation of a Shire that May. <br />
<br />
The first Ymir, which would become the barony's premier event, was held the following year in February 1976. Ymir has been held every year since and is used for baronial investiture, selection of champions, and acts as a reflection of Windmasters' culture. Later that year the cantons of Elvegast and Buckston-On-Eno were formed. At the second Ymir, in 1977, Windmasters' Hill was recognized as a barony and its first baron was invested. <br />

In May of 1978, two additional cantons were formed. Atillium, which remains to this day an active canton of Windmasters' Hill, and The Guardians of The Sacred Stone.<br />

Windmasters' Hill held the first Atlantian Crown Tournament in November of 1980, it was hosted by the canton of Buckston-On-Eno. This same year, Kappellenberg petitioned to be recognized as an official canton.<br />

In 1981 The Guardians Of the Sacred Stone petitioned to start their own shire, separating from Windmasters' Hill and eventually forming the [[Barony of Sacred Stone]]. <br />

Ælfric was born in approximately AD 950 in Ecgeling (Eggleston), near Durham, northern England (unified English rule, previously Kingdom of Northumbria). A second son to his parents, he found his calling to holy orders at a young age and was given to Ecgeling Abbey as an oblate at the age of 10. By 18, he had been ordained a priest and acted as confessor for the brothers of Ecgeling Abbey for many years. <br />

In about AD 975, he felt a calling to voyage to the far east to make converts amongst the people there. He spent several years in the Empire of the Great Song (Song Dynasty China, AD 960-1279), and was entertained with great mutual interest at court under the Taizu and Taizong emperors. <br />

After returning to Ecgeling, he was elected abbot by his brothers to fill the sede vacante which had recently happened. <br />
